           Relation prepositions

The words mine, yours etc., in Hebrew are derived from the word ‫ֶּשל‬

                     OF - ‫ֶּשל‬

           mine                                         ‫ֶש ִלי‬
           yours (m.)                                   ‫ֶש ְלָך‬
           yours (f.)                                   ‫ֶש ָלְך‬

Examples:

Who is your (noun)?       ?‫ ֶּש ָלְך‬/ ‫ִמי ַה _______ ֶּש ְלָך‬

                         Question  ?‫ִמי המֹו ָרה ֶש ְלָך‬
Who is your (m.) teacher (f.)?

Who is your (f.) teacher (f.)? ?‫ִמי המֹו ָרה ֶש ָלְך‬

                       Answer

(Name) is my (Noun)       ‫… ֶּש ִלי‬Noun ...Name

Orly is my teacher (f.)            .‫אֹו ְר ִלי המֹו ָרה ֶש ִלי‬
Moshe is my teacher (m.)            .‫ֹמ ֶשה המֹו ֶרה ֶש ִלי‬
