Asking Questions with Prepositions

In spoken English it is common to have the preposition at the end of a
question. When you ask a question in Hebrew, the preposition "jumps" to
the beginning of the question.

Example:
Asking the question, "Who do you want to meet with?"
To meet with = ‫להפ ֵגׁש ִעם‬

In English, since the preposition commonly is at the end of the question,
English speakers frequently try to mimic it in Hebrew (wrongly), by
putting the preposition at the end of the question:

Wrong ?‫מי ַאּתה רֹו ֶצה להפ ֵגׁש ִעם‬

When asking a question in Hebrew, the preposition has to "jump" to the
beginning of the question, as in more formal English: “With whom to you
want to meet?”

Right  ‫ִעם מי ַאּתה רֹו ֶצה להפ ֵגׁש? עם‬
