XAVIER RUDD is Australia’s sexiest vegetarian,

so says PETA. More importantly, he is recognized there as a prolific singer-
songwriter. Of his 9 studio albums, 2 are certified Gold and 1 Platinum in Australia,
and his last 6 peaked in the top 10.

But fans of his music span the globe -- including the US where he has performed at
several festivals including Bonnaroo and toured with Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson,
Ben Harper, among others.

In fact, the hard-working performer thrives on stage, touring every direction year-
round. In 2019, he spent the latter half playing over 70 shows in Europe, North and
South America. ION Indie Magazine was there for one of his stops in Florida.

Much like his itinerary, Rudd’s music isn’t confined by boundaries. His songs pass
from folk to reggae to blues to rock. At times, there is even an underlying synth
groove, laid out by Ian Peres on the keys, that hints at what I would venture to call
electronic, even trance.
