Rounding out the band are drummer Lisa Purmodh, from Fiji,
and bassist Yosa Haile, from Ethiopia…both remarkable
musicians who lay down an intense rhythm for Rudd’s music.

The combined elements of Rudd and his band result in a layered
and spatial musical blend that trends toward surrealistic. Early-
on, it could be sensed that the music was telling a story of the
history of cultures and people. As the set developed, Rudd
expanded further with his dialogue, sharing his strong feelings
about the rights of indigenous cultures and honoring those that
came before.
