MH: Brian, thank you very much for giving me
this opportunity to talk to you about you and
your music endeavors. Please share with our
readers who you are and what you’re all about.
BB: Aside from entertaining people with a wide
variety of songs, I'm all about communicating and
connecting with people of all ages on a personal
level through the lyrics that express situations and
lessons learned that people could relate to. I often
end the songs in a positive, uplifting light.
MH: How would you describe your style of
playing and music?
BB: Well, there are two styles, in a sense. There's
the band music that is rock and blues, and there's
the solo project that is Americana, which is what
this CD is based upon. I write the songs for both
bands, and in most of my songs, I incorporate many
unique changes and encrypted poetry, which is the
common thread throughout both musical styles.
MH: I understand that you have several music
projects. How are they different in sound and
style?
BB: They are completely different. The band has a
drummer, a bass, and lead guitarist, so we play
more hard rock and blues, and the solo project has
the same bass guitarist with an added violinist and
vocalist, which portrays the Americana music on a
softer scale. It is interesting to hear some of
the songs played by both bands in their own style,
like ‘Wildflower,’ ‘Juke Box,’ and ‘My Way
Home.’ The band is coming out with a CD in the
coming weeks. I would love the opportunity to share
that music with your readers when it is released,
perhaps in time for your next publication.
