MH: And for those who haven't seen you live before,
what can they expect from your shows?
BB: Not only great music but great vibes. It's the positive
karma and sheer entertainment that we are all about, and
that's what we pride ourselves with in the concerts that we
deliver. We continuously add new followers to our fan base
at each concert, and we watch the number of song streams
rise with the passage of time. Those are direct indicators
that we are right on track with our goals.
MH: I’ve asked this next question to music artists in the
past, as there’s a definite difference between making a
record and going out and playing it live in front of an
audience. Many feel that the real work is making the
record and the fun part is playing it live. What can you
say on both of these processes?
BB: I would have to say that I enjoy both. The fascinating
part about recording the music is watching the progression
of my songs develop from the stage of writing them with
nothing but my bare voice and guitar, through the point
where they turn into full arrangements with the added input
from the other band members. They are in their own
respect true professionals at what they do, and as the band
manager, I give them the freedom to interpret their roles
towards adding value to the songs as they see fit. I trust
them and respect their judgment, and they never let me
down. It's a real adventure seeing and hearing it all come
together. It's what teamwork is all about, and yes, it is work,
but it's not that hard when you have a passion for what you
do. Playing live is nothing but sheer fun! I get so much
satisfaction out of watching people genuinely enjoy the
music and getting direct feedback.
MH: I really enjoyed your new CD ‘Wildflower.’ The first
song and title track is such a great tune. Tell me about
your new CD release. What’s the back story or
inspiration behind it?
