In my observation, DIY creators, record labels, A.I. generative and
A.I. assisted all need their own unique identifiers codes beyond the
traditional copyright -- ISRC, ISWC, UPC, EAN codes. This way,

online A.I. software can assist artists to get paid based on the
identifiers that are known to each allocated sector of the industry.

Functional Copyright in all countries that are part of WIPO (World

Intellectual Property Office) and CISAC -- for instance, Canada has
CIPO (Canadian Intellectual Property Office) or little brother of WIPO.
But CIPO, located in the province of Quebec, states on their website

“no titles” and “no audio samples.” After a creator pays $50 for a
copyright, there are no identifiers to assist an original audio creation
and the creator. In reality, this leaves a very large gap between the

creation and the creator, which sub-publishers and PROs take
advantage of by generating additional titles and ISWC codes. This
practice is extremely illegal, and ends up creating “Orphaned

Royalties,” which is the reason the MLC (Mechanical Licensing
                            Collective) even exists.

                                                    Let’s Recap the Highlights:

There is a great deal to learn about music and the proper ways of
protecting your creations. I know it can be daunting to say the least,
and quite honestly it feels like the artist is in between the government

and PRO’s, and the multiple organizations that literally syphon the
                            royalties away from creators.

                            Helping DIY Musicians Monetize

The music industry is changing, and now DIY musicians like you have
70% of the market share! This makes the big record labels a bit
pissed-off, to be blunt. Here’s how DIY creators can help themselves:
