Drinking tea and coffee reduces
mortality risk, large-scale study finds
According to a research study comprising of
498,158 participants between the ages of 37
and 73, “moderate coffee and tea
consumption are associated with lower risk
of mortality.”
The samples, taken from the UK Biobank,
concluded that drinking one cup of coffee or
three cups of tea per day seemed to link
with the lowest risk of mortality. In addition,
individuals who enjoy two to four cups of
tea and less than one to two cups of coffee
on a daily basis reduce their mortality risk
by 22% compared to those who do not drink
tea or coffee.
