The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s
will for you in Christ Jesus.” Isn’t it easy to thank God for the good things, but God
wants us to give thanks in not just the good, but through the bad and the ugly. No mat-

ter what you are dealing with in your life right now, just stop right here and tell the
Lord…THANK YOU! We must get to a place that living a thankful life is our daily norm
and not just what we do in November.

Moment of Reflection: Today, I ask, what are you thankful for? Grab a piece of
paper or a note page on your device and make a “THANKFUL LIST.” Make a commit-
ment to add to this list every day. On those days when life gets the best of you, pull
out your list and begin to read and reflect, I guarantee you will feel a shift. We sang a

song growing up that said, “Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your
blessings, see what God has done. Count your blessings, name them one by one,
count your many blessings see what God has done. God has done so much for you
         and for me.

                                                                                                   th

Let us pray. Lord, bless my sister reading this message. I am thankful for my sister
and for allowing her to be a part of my life in this circle of sisterhood. Create in each of
us a heart of gratitude. Lord, help us to live thankful lives. Forgive us for the times we
have been ungrateful, held ill thoughts toward You and one another. May we always

be grateful for your unconditional love, unmerited favor, and grace towards us. We
thank you for all you have done, doing, and will yet do in each of our lives. In the pre-
cious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

NOTE: The Chaplain’s Council is here for you. We are praying for you and with you.
We invite you to join us on the third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 – 6:15A.M., for
the “What happens when sisters pray” prayer call. It’s a time of devotion, prayer, and
refreshing for a new day. Connect with us as we bombard Heaven on behalf of others,
our community, our chapter, our Sorority, each other and ourselves. Remember, God

         hears us when we pray.
