The Montgomery (AL) Alumnae Chapter’s Sisterhood Month 2019 activities began with its
Annual Prayer Breakfast on March 2, 2019 at the COD Center. This year’s theme was,

ta Nu Omega Chapter; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omega Chi Omega Chapter; Zeta

ta Sigma Chapter. Over 95 Sisters were in attendance to fellowship, break bread, sing, and
pray together.
Luncheons/Dinners
Several luncheons and dinners took place across the River Region, and at each luncheon
and dinner, Sorors were presented with a gift from the Membership Services Committee.
The Prattville/Wetumpka/Millbrook Dinner was held at Olive Garden on March 7. Nearly 40
Sorors attended the dinner coordinated by Sorors Brenda Coone, Princess Harper, and Fe-
lissa Clemons. Sorors were able to fellowship prior to dinner being served. Sorors were
able to choose from several choices, along with soup, salad, and dessert.
The After Hours Dinner, coordinated by Sorors Pamela Garrett and Jacinta Berry, was held
on March 8 at Martha’s Place. Nearly 30 Sorors gathered and had a variety of delicious
th
menu items to choose from, including fried fish, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, vari-
ous vegetables, and dessert. Sorors were asked to share their favorite Delta memory,
which sparked wonderful reflections and a few laughs. Drawings were also held for prizes.
The food, fun, and fellowship were flowing!
The Downtown Luncheon, coordinated by Sorors Jimmetta Gourdine, Ruby P. Smith, and
Diane Hamilton, was held on March 15 at the RSA Plaza. More than 100 Sorors, includ-
th
ing those visiting from other chapters, were treated to a scrumptious meal of fried fish,
fried chicken, turnip greens, green beans, macaroni & cheese, salad, rolls, cornbread, and
cobbler. The room was buzzing with activity as Sorors hugged, took pictures, and fellow-
shipped. Sorors also had special treats including cupcakes, rice krispies pops, and an as-
sortment of candies.
Finally, the Delta Dears Luncheon, coordinated by Sorors Catrina Waters and Rhonda
Oats, was held on March 19 at the Fortitude Building. More than 50 Delta Dears were
th

mixed vegetables, salad, roll, and pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Each
Delta Dear was presented with a commemorative trinket. The Dears also play two spirited
