                                                   2014 Report of City

We currently have 58 members with 100 percent participation. We had one
member, Kevin Hall, retire in 2014.

In 2014 a pay scale was implemented for all fire department positions. All fire
department employees also received a 4.1 percent raise which was added to the

new pay scale. Another significant raise is expected this summer.

Nine new firefighter positions were added to the department. These spots were
filled to restaff a rescue unit on a full time basis and promotions for this unit are
expected within the next year. All nine new employees have joined our union.

Land has been purchased to build a fifth station and the station is currently in the

               planning process.

A scholarship fund has been started by our local to help a Benton High School

               senior.

Our Fill the Boot raised $8088.00 for MDA in 2014 and $9404.00 this April.

Three of our members attended the DC Firefighters Burn Foundation “It

Happened in Seconds” Train the Trainer program in Memphis, Tennessee. “It
Happened in Seconds” focuses on awareness, prevention, treatment, and the

after effects of firefighter burn injuries.
