Looking for exciting things to do Nursery
around your own garden!?! Remember
Atkins Nursery!?! Well, I found Uncle Victor
taking care of these beautiful pineapple
plants. I couldn’t believe I wasn’t in Hawaii
when I came to visit him at Atkins in Fall-
brook Ca. Uncle Victor taught me a lot of
what I can share with you now. I learned
the landscaping knowledge from Leo my
father and began to learn about trees,
brush, and fruits as a kid while I hung out
with Leo during my developing years.
When I met Uncle Victor, he continued
to teach me about trees, plants, and herbs.
With Uncle Victor, I also learned how he
could graft one citrus tree with multiples
and one sweet, juicy peach with other
nectars including, different pears with
pears and apples with apples. All family of
a kind is what you need in order to grow
multiples on the same tree but different
branches. How awesome is that!?! Some-
thing else I learned from Uncle Victor, is
how we can pollinate by hand or have a
crowd of bees assist us to enjoy the best
Cherimoya fruit in town. Cherimoyas, for
those who don’t know or understand that
eating the fruit is an exciting and healthy
experience; I will tell you the biggest
secret to it all. Because it is an exotic
subtropical fruit just like pineapple and
healthy because it is very high in fiber.
Boy, do I enjoy my Cherimoya and
Strawberry smoothies. I enjoy my smooth-
ies with freshly picked fruit from the
growing grounds at the prime time when
it is in season, and I can also enjoy them in
the summer because I freeze the fruit for
future enjoyment when the season has ex-
hausted the harvesting period. Smoothies
are so refreshing and healthy, especially
during hot, stuffy summers. How can you
get your hands on this delicacy? Ask me! I
am more than happy to introduce you to
Uncle Victor or Jr. who learned much from
his dad.
When you stop by Atkins Nursery, you
will learn as well what I have learned from
Uncle Victor and more. Perhaps you will
even be introduced to a different inter-
esting sub~tropical fruit and fruit trees.

Maggie Ramos do de estas hermosas plantas de piña. No podía
creer que no estaba en Hawái cuando vine a
visitarlo a Atkins en Fallbrook Ca. El tío Víctor
me enseñó mucho de lo que puedo compartir
contigo ahora. Aprendí los conocimientos de
paisajismo de Leo, mi padre, y comencé a apren-
der sobre los árboles, los arbustos y las frutas
cuando era niña, mientras que yo estaba con
Leo durante mi tiempo de desarrollo.
Cuando conocí al tío Víctor, él continuó
enseñándome sobre árboles, plantas y hierbas.
Con el tío Víctor también aprendí cómo podía
injertar un árbol de cítricos con múltiplos y un
melocotón dulce y jugoso con otros néctares,
entre ellos, peras diferentes y manzanas con
manzanas. Toda familia de un tipo es lo que
necesita para crecer en el mismo árbol pero
con diferentes ramas. ¿Qué tan impresionante
es eso? Otra cosa que aprendí del tío Víctor es
cómo podemos polinizar a mano o hacer que

ótica subtropical al igual que la piña y saludable
porque es muy alta en fibra. Tenga cuidado, en
realidad puede tener demasiado a medida que
lo disfruta y podría terminar corriendo.
Chico, me gustan mis batidos de chirimoya
y fresa. Disfruto de mis batidos con frutas recién
cosechadas en los terrenos de cultivo en el
horario de máxima audiencia cuando está en
temporada y también puedo disfrutarlas en
verano porque las congelo para disfrutarlas en
el futuro, cuando la temporada ha agotado el
período de cosecha. Los batidos son muy re-
frescantes y saludables, especialmente durante
los veranos calurosos. ¿Cómo puedes conseguir
esta delicadeza? ¡Pregúnteme! Estoy más que
feliz de presentarte al tío Víctor o Jr. que toma el
conocimiento después de su padre.
Cuando pases por el Vivero Atkins, sabrás lo
que he aprendido del tío Víctor y mucho más.
Tal vez incluso le presentarán otras interesantes
variedades de frutas subtropicales y árboles fru-
tales. Porque, el tío Víctor es un experto, también
Víctor Jr. lo atenderá con la experiencia experta
de ambos. Independientemente del tamaño y
de árbol. Le damos la bienvenida con experien-
cia para que pueda trasplantar su propio jardín
o comenzar una gran arboleda para comenzar
su negocio de frutas. Recuerde que cuanto más
cosechamos, más felices y alegres serán todos,
incluyendo la madre naturaleza.
