PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

My dear Brothers and Sisters,

Assalaamu Alaikum, and May the Peace and Blessings of Almighty Allah be with us all.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to our 18th Annual General Meeting and,
on behalf of the Board, I extend our gratitude and appreciation for your presence here
today. Your attendance is an indication of your commitment to Takaaful T&T and more
so, it helps to reassure us i.e. the members of the Board of Management - of your interest
and confidence in our efforts to manage the affairs of the Society. Thank you for being
here this morning.

Alhamdulillah, 2015 has been another good year for us in many ways. We were able to
realise a reasonable dividend although we faced a down turn in the economy because of
the sharp decrease in the price of oil. I must say thanks to the members of the BOM, all
committee members as well as the Manager and staff of the office who worked diligently
in making decisions throughout the year for the success of the Society. May Allah reward
them abundantly.

We have, at various times, organized workshops and discussions on strategies for
Takaaful T&T in order to continue on the path of growth and development, and have a
Plan in place for 2015-2017. Our committees worked hard to keep up with new
developments, looking for ways to make the Society attractive to all. However, we
continue to see the same people making this sacrifice. Show your support by getting
involved yourself.

I am appealing to you the members to get more involved in the building and development
of the Society. With more people playing an active role, we may be able to achieve
more, in shaa Allah. May Allah (SWT) continue to bless us with His Guidance, His
Grace and Mercy. I pray that Allah will guide our deliberations today and that the spirit
of brotherhood and cooperation will form an inherent part of our engagement.
