Clare Camogie THDC Report 2020
The Clare Camogie THDC dealt with the following matters during the year:
24 transfer requests
3 red card incidents
The Transfers were related to, a Club being disbanded, no team for older age group players and
location move. 1 Transfer request was refused by Clare Camogie THDC and was appealed to
the Munster Council who approved the transfer.
Considering the restricted number of matches, this represents a significant number of
disciplinary issues in 2020. We would like to point out that there were breaches of discipline by
two separate club categories: players and mentors. Again, we remind clubs to set high
standards for the good behavior of its members both on the field of play and on the side line.
Neither club categories should disrespect the referee. Adults are reminded to lead by example
for all the players.
All matters before the committee were mostly dealt with within the allocated timeframes.
The THDC committee however in Clare Camogie currently has 5 members and we would really
like to increase the members to 10 if possible. The effective functioning of the committee
requires an availability of members in order to work within the mandatory timeframes; to
constitute mandatory quorums and to allow for abstentions for conflict of interests and
holidays. A working committee of 10 could best meet these conditions.
The THDC committee also requests the availability of THDC training for new committee
members.
The THDC would like to acknowledge the cooperation shown by the clubs and/or members who
appeared before the THDC over the year and for their courtesy and respect shown throughout
the process.
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all in Clare Camogie and to wish
everybody a very happy Christmas and we look forward to many great moments in 2021.
