Clare Senior Camogie Report 2019/2020.
th
Training started on Sunday 4 November 2019.

We trained in Newmarket, Cratloe and Meelick between Tuesday 4 November 2019 and Tuesday 10
March 2020.
51 sessions, 6 games and 2 assessments were completed between these dates when the season was
stopped due to the Corona Virus mid March
Clare were still one of only 3 teams in contention for the National League title at this point.
Cork and Tipperary were the other 2 teams.
As a management team we continued to provide players with weekly training plans during this period
but without GPS systems available to monitor players we had to manually monitor the players progress
during Covid which added to the stress levels of both players and management as this was extremely
time consuming and hard to do.
Club championship recommenced in July and it was agreed to allow players to fully concentrate and
th
train with clubs during this time until County training recommenced on Tuesday 15 September.

Between 15 September and Saturday 14 November 18 sessions and 9 games were completed along
with countless analysis sessions with both players and management with the end result unfortunately
losing to Cork in the Quarter final of the All Ireland Championship.
Thanks to the following clubs for giving us access to their facilities: Newmarket on Fergus, Cratloe,
Meelick, Wolfe Tones GAA, Tubber, Tulla and Clonlara.
A huge thanks to both players and management for their unbelievable time and efforts during this
unique year.
