The proposed post covid fixtures schedule was ratified. It was planned to have all adult finals over by
September 13th to facilitate the return to training of the county teams.
No U21 games this year.
August 2020
Board meeting held on August 10th in the Woodstock Hotel.
Brid McNamara undertook to walk to Croker and Back as a fundraiser for Clare Camogie. She visited every club
in Clare during the month and raised almost €16000 in the process.
At the Munster meeting, it was agreed to accept Galway and Mayo into the Munster Minor competition.
A puc fada competition for Seniors and U16s was held on August 6th in FMP. Aine O’Loughlin (Truagh-Clonlara)
won the senior and Cara McInerney (Inagh-Kilnamona) won the U16. They went on to represent Clare in the
Munster competition.
Games at every age group took place from July 17th onwards. All clubs had covid officers in place and all
players and coaches were filling out their health questionnaires as per guidelines.
September 2020
A board meeting took place by Zoom on September 7th.
Senior, Junior and Intermediate County finals were held in FMP, Clooney, and Shannon:
• In the Senior Cup Final in FMP, Inagh-Kilnamona beat Newmarket by 2:17 to 1:07.
• In the Senior Shield Final in FMP, Truagh-Clonlara beat Kilkishen/Bodyke by 1:15 to 0:14.
• In the Intermediate Cup Final in FMP, Feakle-Killanena beat Clooney-Quinn by 1:16 to 1:15.
• In the Intermediate Shield Final in Clooney, Clarecastle/Ballyea beat Éire Óg by 4:15 to 2:12.
• In the Junior A Cup Final in FMP, Corofin beat Broadford by 1:16 to 3:8.
• In the Junior A Shield Final in Clooney, Inagh-Kilnamona beat Kilkishen/Bodyke by 1:10 to 1:05.
• In the Junior B Cup Final in FMP, Scariff-Ogonnelloe beat Parteen by 1:20 to 2:07.
• In the Junior B Shield Final in Shannon, Sixmilebridge beat Eire Og by 2:08 to 1:04.
Many of these matches were live-streamed as attendance was not allowed due to the pandemic.
County teams were allowed to train again from the 14th of September.
U14 Munster blitzes due to be played in September were postponed to October. Clare have entered a team.
October 2020
County board Zoom meeting held on October 5th and National Congress was held on October 10th, also by
Zoom, where Hilda Breslin (Kildare) was elected as the new President of the Camogie Association.
The Senior team were beaten by Tipperary on the 18th, but had a fantastic win over Dublin in FMP on the 31st,
placing them in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
The Junior team had a great win over Offaly on the 17th (also in FMP) and were preparing for their second
game against Wexford when the country was placed in level 5 lockdown and all county ‘second’ teams were
withdrawn from their respective competitions. Similarly, both the (all-Ireland) U16 and (Munster) U18
competitions were postponed, and the U14 blitzes were cancelled.
On October 4th, both Inagh-Kilnamona and Feakle-Killanena won their Munster club semi-finals, with Inagh-
Kilnamona beating Courcy Rovers in the senior championship and Feakle-Killanena beating Dungarvan in the
junior competition. Both finals have been postponed due to the covid restrictions.
November 2020

The County board Zoom meeting was held on November 2 . The county AGM was set for December 7th.
The Senior County team were drawn to play Cork in Páirc Uí Chaoimh on November 14th in the all-Ireland
quarter-final, which they unfortunately lost.
