and clients. Much of it is free. Keep an eye open and connect to webinars or Zoom conferences that have information valuable to you.
Follow up. Empathetic people follow up. Good listeners follow up. Friends follow up. Colleagues follow up. In this COVID-19 era, follow up.
If you’ve lost your job due to COVID-19, know you’ll get back on your feet soon. Reach out to friends and colleagues, search job boards and websites, reach out to headhunters
and anyone else with whom you have a relationship who is in a position to help. There may not be many jobs right now but you only need one. Believe yours is out there and chase it down.
For many of you, this COVID-19 era feels like a storm has descended on you. You’ve lost your job or are afraid of losing it. You’ve had your salary cut. You’ve been living in isolation. The thing with storms is, sooner or later, they pass. When you’re in the middle of it, it feels overwhelming. It feels like you’re going to

As this pandemic continues, focus on your core skills and pursue matters you are qualified to handle. It’s tempting to become a jack of all trades during this difficult and weak economic environment, and handle matters you’re not qualified to handle. Don’t. For your clients’ sake, for yours, don’t.
Seek out normalcy. As much as you can stick to your normal routine, do so. If you used to go to the gym, figure out a home exercise routine. If you used to get up early and go to bed early, keep doing so. If you used to get together with friends, call them. It’ll help your mental health.
During this period of isolation, journal.
Certain legal sectors are booming and others are drying up in the midst of the pandemic. In the short term, shift your firms resources to the areas where clients have the greatest needs.
