Glossary of important terms
1. Analogy (Analogi): An explanation used to help learners
understand a concept, process, or procedure. Analogies
typically are drawn from a different domain than the lesson
content but share some common features with the target content.
For example, a slice of pie is used as an analogy for the concept of
a fraction
2. Analysis (Analisa): A part of the instructional systems design process
during which the performance factors, including training,
needed to reach operational objectives are defined.
3. Electronic Performance Support (Sokongan Prestasi Elektronik):
A digitally available guide intended to help learners perform job
tasks on the job.
4. Inductive Learning (Pembelajaran Induktif): Opportunities for
participants to derive guidelines, features, or rules from viewing
examples or engaging in experiences, for example, asking
participants to list the features of a good website after viewing
samples of well-designed and poorly designed websites
5. Instructive Learning (Pembelajaran Instruktif): A training design in
which key content is explained and illustrated followed by practice
exercises. Most traditional training applies an instructive approach.
