Glossary of important terms

            1. Analogy (Analogi): An explanation used to help learners

understand a concept, process, or procedure. Analogies
typically are drawn from a different domain than the lesson
content but share some common features with the target content.

For example, a slice of pie is used as an analogy for the concept of
               a fraction

            2. Analysis (Analisa): A part of the instructional systems design process
during which the performance factors, including training,

needed to reach operational objectives are defined.

            3. Electronic Performance Support (Sokongan Prestasi Elektronik):

A digitally available guide intended to help learners perform job
               tasks on the job.

            4. Inductive Learning (Pembelajaran Induktif): Opportunities for
participants to derive guidelines, features, or rules from viewing
examples or engaging in experiences, for example, asking

participants to list the features of a good website after viewing
samples of well-designed and poorly designed websites

            5. Instructive Learning (Pembelajaran Instruktif): A training design in
which key content is explained and illustrated followed by practice

exercises. Most traditional training applies an instructive approach.
