4. When should you use audio to present words?

Recent research has shown that a complex visual is better
explained by audio narration than by on-screen text

            5. Why simulation is an interesting technique?

A simulation is a model of a real-world environment that is rule-

based. That is, when the user takes an action, the electronic
environment responds in a real-world manner.

               Glossary of important terms

            1. Conceptual Simulation (Simulasi Konseptual): A simulation in
                                    -
which the inter face responds based on cause-and-effect rules.
Typical examples include a genetics simulation or a simulation of
ideal gas laws. Often used to teach scientific principles

            2. Game (Permainan): An online event that offers the learner a

challenge to achieve a goal, responds on the basis of game rules,
offers an interactive high engagement experience, and

               incorporates consequences

            3. Media (Media): The delivery technology used to provide

instructional materials to learners. Includes items such as books,
video, and computers. Also called delivery media

            4. Simulation (Simulasi): An artificial system that responds like a
realworld system. Digital simulations are commonly used to
               illustrate processes and principle-driven relationships

            5. Virtual Classroom (Bilik Darjah Maya): Synchronous computer-
mediated learning environments with facilities for

visualization, instructor and participant audio, and participant
responses via polling and chat, among others. Some commonly

used virtual classroom tools include Breeze, Elluminate, Centra,
               Live Meetings, and WebEx
