I keep learning vocabulary that I thought I knew. I had to turn to the online
translator to find the meaning of “to piece together a living”, even though I
suspected the meaning. Before this assignment, I knew not the word cognate and
false cognate. I was astonished to learn that there are a lot of them in every text in
English and that its existence makes life easy for us who have English as a second
language.
The fifth text was very related with a project I´ve presented both in this master and
in my job, it proposed to achieve digital literacy of some groups of teachers in the
faculty of Chemistry. I´ve suggested several ways, one of them was using MOOCs.
Now, I realize that it is essential to continue practicing not to lose the practice, as
well as my English level. That, because I found myself making elementary
grammatical errors. I’m doing my best to achieve the best quality in my homework.
