gearing up to pull out and relinquish Subic Bay back to the Pilipino
government. Somalia was kicking off, and many Delta Marines would go
there. The splintering of one of the greatest units of all time fell to the
inevitable, methodical, geographical needs of the world. It was the beginning
of the end of a team that once was inseparable and ruled the battlefield. And
so goes the format of the Marine Corps. Proving once and again the only
thing that stays the same is that everything changes. The world was changing
and forcibly Delta Company was changing with it, and it would never be the
same. But what once was the greatest mechanized unit ever to grace a
battlefield, remains forever written in the Annals of the Marine Corps
History. Long live the fighters…..
