BROTHERS REUNITED

The long, arduous journey back home was made doubly worthwhile in a
micro-second – a brotherly hug from Delta 7, GySgt Steven Dell. A smile and
the eye contact I had missed for at least a month or so as Gunny had left on
the advanced party to bring the assets of the LAI Battalion back to
Twentynine Palms. Gunny was the big brother to his subordinate Marines; I
gratefully and graciously was one of these. We had ridden the storm out
together; we had seen much and now a small-scale reunion captured here in
this photo.
