Mother’s Day Breakfast
O n behalf of our community, we say a huge thank you to
Shane Carr and Nigel Engel who hosted a magnificent
Mother’s Day Breakfast in the Fourvière Centre on May 6.
Between 350 and 400 people took part, and there was a lovely
energy in the room for the St Patrick’s and ACK mums and
grandmothers.
We acknowledge and thank the young men of Redden House
who alongside Shane were up at 4.30am to help with the
preparations.
We give thanks for those who gave us life. May their love and
care always encourage us to continue to grow into the best
version of ourselves.
For our grandmothers and all generous women who share their
lives with us, and teach us by their example how to be brave,
strong, kind and just, we give thanks.
We bless new mothers, those enjoying the challenges of teens,
and those caring for their elderly parents. May they always
know they are valued and may their giving bring them joy.
Mary our Good Mother, we join our prayers with yours in
celebration of all who bring life and goodness to birth. Amen.
