counting by multiples of ten, some students may think you cannot
unless the number ends in 0. If you ask students to count by 10s, they
will count 10, 20 30, etc. If you ask students to count by 10s starting at
50, they will count 60, 70, 80 etc. But if you ask students to count by 10s
starting at 18, some students will think you cannot. Have students look
at the hundreds chart and count, 18, 28, 38, 48, etc.
