Rhythm/Rhyme: “Peas Porridge Hot”
                   •  MF performs rhyme:

                                                    “Peas porridge hot,
                                                     Peas porridge cold,
                                                  Peas porridge in the pot
                                                       Nine days old.”

                   •  Everyone tries rhyme together
                   •  MM defines ‘porridge’ as a thick soup, and asks S to listen for what kind of porridge
                       it is as they sing rhyme again
                   •  “What kind of porridge was it?” (peas porridge)
                   •  “How many days old is the porridge?” (9 days old)
                   •  Pat laps while saying rhyme
                   •  “What do we call it when we pat our laps to the steady pulse of music?” (keeping the
                       beat)
                   •  Everyone says rhyme once more, keeping the steady beat

                   •  “What was the Hopi word for bobcat?” (Mos)
                   •  MM & MF sing “Mos Mos”

                   •  MM & MF play the “Mos Mos” game
