Cooking for Healing: Immunity























        Onion and Apple Tea

           Hear me out! This recipe was taught to me by an old friend who knew the
            secret about onions - they are immune-boosting powerhouses. Fragrant
                       immune-boosting aromatics really pull this tea together.



        Ingredients                                            Add 8.5 cups of water to an
        1 red onion                                            accomodating pot. Add all ingredients.

        1 apple
        2-3 inches of ginger                                   Bring everything to a slow boil for about
        i tbsp cinnamon                                        15 minutes.

        1 tsp cloves
        Orange peel (make sure it is organic)                  Reduce to a simmer for another 15-20

                                                               minutes. The apples should turn brown
        Instructions                                           and sink.
        Chop the red onion and apple into

        quarters and grate the ginger.                         Serve with lemon and honey optional.
