Our key activities during the year were:

• New ABBTF efforts in this growth state are ABBTF SUPPORTED VS. NCVER
paying dividends which is reflected in the “In AT 31 MARCH 90%
Training” number. In parallel to this growth,
strong support for the local market is evident in
the fact ABBTF is supporting 85% of all 4
Training Apprentices. This is the highest ratio NO. OF STEP OUT PROGRAMS
of supported apprentices in the country.

• Four quality Step Out Programs where run in
the period in key growth regions, supported by
42 vetted, energetic and determined secondary
school students. These programs where the
conduit for improved relationships with schools NCVER DATA - TAS
and a reinvigorated focus on Bricklayer
Training Pathways.

• A Work Ready Program has also been
developed and market tested in Tasmania with
a very strong field of candidates engaging and
completing. Based on these success’s, more
programs are likely in the coming year. NCVER data to March 2018
