The Adventure Boys

Now (early May) the boys have started the bike-riding season
with warm up rides around the Greens (it is a two plus mile loop
depending on how many cul-de-sacs are included) and a
few local road trips. We have currently scheduled an overnight stay

at Governor’s Island, the NYC Five Boroughs Bike Ride and have
other adventures still in the works.

This winter the Adventure Boys went on separate adventures to
the four points of the compass, north, south, east, and west
- all around the world.
• It was north to Vermont for a bit of skiing
• South to South America with a stop to visit
penguins in the Falkland Islands
• East to Cuba for a back to the future visit
to 1959 with its cars approaching seventy
(that’s years not mph) and a juggler
approaching 80 (that’s mph not years)
• West to East Asia (is that an oxymoron?)
that included a visit to a Vietnamese temple.

We are the Adventure Boys who like to have fun and do athletic stuff. The group grew out of the many outdoor activities we enjoy doing.
We try to organize activities that at least seven or eight of us are interested in. Anyone interested can call me, Irv Zaroff at 631-223-3392
or by email at irvzaroff@optonline.net. This year’s plans include kayaking, sailing, and bike riding in NYC, Long Island and possibly Shel-
ter Island. Maybe drive mopeds on Block Island. Other possible ventures include zip lining, tubing and skeet shooting. Plus more.
