SKYVIEW SCHOOL OF STEM (PRESCHOOL, K-5)
STEM-POWERED LEARNING
Skyview School of STEM is a place where students’ natural curiosity turns into deep and engaged learning in every classroom and down every hallway. Our teachers and staff utilize innovative, inquiry-based methods to focus on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). This focus is balanced with language arts, music, physical education, art, and social studies.
We encourage our families to take part in their child’s learning every day. Our goal is for students to leave Skyview with a strong foundation that will help them excel and for their families to know how to support them toward that success.
CONNECTING WITH THE WORLD AROUND US
At Skyview, students use knowledge and creativity to deepen their understanding of the world around them. Our Makerspace contains robotics and electronics stations. Our Hall of Discovery encourages hands-on experimentation. A new outdoor classroom will be equipped with arts, music, and science areas, including a pollinator garden.
At Skyview, the community around us is a resource. Local business leaders help us prepare our students for the jobs of tomorrow by mentoring them and sharing experiences to give our students insight into the real-world applications of what they are learning.
BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
We offer an abundance of opportunities that enhance student learning, such
as the outdoor education program at the Poudre Learning Center, Roots and Shoots, Lego NXT/We-Do enrichment, and service learning projects. Skyview also offers clubs, including the Soaring Skyview Singers choir, drama, Student Council, Running Club, Coding Club, Battle of the Books, Creativity Counts, and Boys’ Reading Club.
