TWO SCHOOLS, ONE LEARNING COMMUNITY
Together, Tozer Primary School (K–2) and Mountain View Elementary School (3–5) develop curious, independent problem-solvers through project-based learning instruction. Located on a shared campus, our schools have been serving students in safe, caring, and respectful environments for generations.
Our excellent teachers encourage students to ask deep questions and actively engage in their learning, ensuring that they develop 21st century skills through
a rigorous core curriculum enriched with technology, art, music, and physical tness. Beyond the classroom, we nurture students’ interests through a variety of clubs that round out their learning and instill in them an enduring commitment to make positive contributions to their community.
PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
Our project-based learning community is designed to break students out of
the box of conventional thinking. It blends core concepts, key facts, re ective thinking, careful judgment, and skillful application of knowledge, which students then apply to solve meaningful problems. This approach helps Tozer and Mountain View students become open, curious young people who are engaged in purposeful work.
STUDENT-DRIVEN INQUIRY
Since a shared purpose generates caring relationships and respectful conversations that open the mind and nurture a desire for further inquiry, you will see students learning through collaboration. Our teachers utilize real-world experiences to enrich lessons and to engage students more deeply in their own learning.
Every day, our school communities focus on getting students excited about learning in and beyond school. We love to see their joy in applying what they are learning to projects that interest them.
