Day 9: Hue – Dong Ha (B)
The morning is to visit other famous attractions in Hue being
the Imperial Tomb of Tu Duc and a boat trip to Thien Mu
Pagoda. Depart Hue for Dong Ha the outpost town south of
the DMZ. En route pass by the site of Ai Tu airfield and visit the
leftover of the Citadel of Quang Tri where 81-day fierce battle
took place in 1972. Visit the site of Doc Mieu Firebase and
later the memorial site of the DMZ being Hien Luong Bridge
spanning the Ben Hai River. Overnight at Saigon Dong Ha Hotel.

Day 10: Dong Ha - Khe Sanh – Hue (B)
Travel westward along Route 9 and visit the old sites along
the DMZ belt including the artillery base of Camp Carol, the
Rock Pile an important US Army and Marine Corps observation
post only accessible by helicopter. In Khe Sanh visit the Lang
Vay Special Force Base and Ta Con Airfield. Drive back and
overnight in Hue.
