"When I put out the call for local folks and pals to come and join in on the choruses quite a few
responded saying '…mmmm…maybe…but I can't sing…'.
"When I explained singing ability wasn't an issue, and that I was looking for the effect of an
audience singing along rather than backing vocalists a few took up the challenge…and as it turned
out they could all sing. I'm delighted with the way their contribution to the recording turned out."
By a pleasant co-incidence, one of the 'voices’ of the loch' has another 'link' to the area.
"My pal Bill was over from Florida and came to play a house concert in the garden a few weeks
ago…and along with his wife Dorothy, daughter Valerie and son-in-law were persuaded to join me
in the studio to add their voices. Bill's son-in-law's name is…Shady Glenn (yup, really)! Now I can't
sing that verse without seeing him in my mind's eye."
Meantime, although the effects of lockdown are still making a huge impact on touring and live
events, Arcari is slowly making his way back onto the touring circuit and has played shows in
Manchester, Liverpool and Belfast over the last month or so.
He's also recorded a song for major US TV series The Deadliest Catch and recently participated in a
film shoot swapping songs and chat with a well-known singer/songwriter for a forthcoming film
and TV series.
Arcari’s last full length release – “Live at Memorial Hall” – is the definitive collection of his music
to date and available on double 180g coloured vinyl and digipak CD as well as download/streaming
via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3 and the usual digital services.
Arcari has recently been taken onboard by Reunion Blues Gig Bags as an official artist, a
partnership which sees the premium instrument case manufacturer join Arcari’s list of endorsers
alongside National Reso-Phonic Guitars, Newtone Strings, G7th Capos and Diamond Bottlenecks.
