STH terminal blocks and headers are suitable to be soldered with Refl ow technology as the
plas� c housing has been moulded using a 270°C stable material.

Diff erently to SMD tradi� onal components, the pins of the male headers and terminal blocks
are inserted into PCB metallized holes fi lled with soldering paste which are then soldered using

Hitaltech STH products are produced with insula� ng material which can withstand up to
270°C peak temperatures. The plas� c material is UL94 V-0 self ex� nguishing and is halogens

free.

When exposed to high temperature, the material used in the terminal block has similar
characteris� cs as that used in the PCB and therefore during the refl ow soldering there is
no permanent deforma� on.
