SBCC offers affordable,
accessible state-of-the-
art imaging technology
along with numerous
patient support services
and winter styles put on by local
retailers Julian Gold and Gatsby’s
Clothier. The models walking the
runway included breast cancer Mary Clark, Peggy Black, Miriam Dozier
survivors. The show included men’s
fashions to emphasize that men too
are at risk for breast cancer, with one
in 1,000 men on average diagnosed
with the disease each year.
Even the makeup the models wore
had an Austin connection. Renowned
makeup artist L. Duane Sevelin
donated his services to the fashion
show. He also created and sold a
limited-edition shade of his classic
cream lipstick, dubbed Zoe, with all
proceeds benefitting SBCC.
