Management

Managing employees in the restaurants industry is considered one of the most
complicated tasks for shift managers. Most of the daily issues caused by high
turnover rate and young employees problematic behavior patterns.

•	 Dynamic availability - making scheduling tasks difficult to control.
•	 Young issues - employees consider their job as a side one, which reflect

     in late & arrival issues. The shift manager should give attention to each
     employee.
•	 Turnover rate - the shift manager should manage new employees every
     shift, which causes new issues and constraints.

Common ways to manage employees

•	 Whatsapp/board + paper/excel: sending requests through whatsapp or
     board in the restaurant, and the shift manager places each employee in the
     right shift in paper/excel.

•	 Scheduling software.
