tasks. However, I have developed the
awareness that success in most things takes
patience, and success is not a matter of luck nor
is it an accident. Dr. Denis Waitley once said
that luck is an acronym, L.U.C.K. laboring
under correct knowledge. The granddaddy law,
Cause and Effect, totally debunks the accident
or luck theory. If we want to get good at
anything, it takes an internal commitment to
stick with it. Like Randy Perdue missing his
great opportunity to be an NBA star. Why?
because he didn’t stick with it. I laugh as I say
that because it brings up another key point.
None of us can be masters at everything.
As I mentioned in the Introduction, there have
been over 108 billion people to walk on this
earth and there will never be another you. We
all have what I believe is a divine purpose. Each
of us has the potential to be excellent in at least
one or two areas. We can absolutely be in the
top ten percent of any career field if we have
the ingredients of patience, discipline, and
persistence. But more importantly, we can be in
the top one or two percent if we add the
ingredient of natural talent. We all have natural
talents, but most never recognize them, or even
