Innovators, and Mentors
The CGSA/Toro Assistant Superintendent of the Year, Paul Davey, Cordova Bay Golf Course in Victoria, BC was recognized by CGSA President John Scott, AGS and Toro’s Josh Tubbs. His colleagues describe him as a true professional, incredible team leader, great mentor and is calm and patient and always making time to help others.
Keith Lyall was chosen as the CGSA/Rain Bird Environmental Achievement award recipient for his environmental management system and his ISO 14001 certification. Keith is also involved in lobbying on behalf of the golf industry and frequently liaises
with all levels of government as it pertains to environmental issues. Keith was recognized by Rain Bird’s Erica Beck and his colleagues across the country.
As the 2021 Gord Witteveen Winner, Dean Piller, AGS received his conference registration, a cash award and the Gordon Witteveen trophy. Dean was selected for this award, sponsored by the Toro Company, for his article entitled “Managing Your Golf Course Ecosystem” article published in the Winter 2021 issue of GreenMaster. Congratulations Dean and thanks for all your contributions to the CGSA.
