Eternal love and taste of Guava………………
Month end days were awful during childhood. Kept waiting for
money order to overcome days of misery and to happily unfold
new month.
Father arranged grains, pulses, etc for the month; however, for
other household chores Dadda Jee‟s money order was eagerly
awaited.
It was towards winter dusk when vendor announced arrival of
season‟s first guava. Couldn‟t control urge, asked Amma Jee for
some money.
Hesitatingly but happily she gave me last 25 paisa coin she
had.
Enjoyed season‟s first fruit with last coin my mother had.
Could ever forget the eternal love of Amma Jee and taste of that
Guava……………….
