2.
He sits back down and resumes the letter.
ALBERT (V.O.)
But I’m not drunk anymore. I’m
dead. The dead can’t drink. Which,

ALBERT’S WIFE (O.S.)
Albert!
ALBERT
Coming!
He gets up from the table with the letter in one hand and the
bottle in another as he walks out.
INT. KING LIVING ROOM - DAY
Albert puts the bottle down on the dining table and looks
around, wondering what to do with the letter. He puts it
below a vinyl record on an old Victrola.
ALBERT (V.O.)

wrong hands. You’ll eventually
learn I failed at that.
The front door opens.
ALBERT (V.O.)

Victrola was a temporary solution,
until I sent it to its intended
recipient. But my executioner
walked in at that very moment. One
of the people I love most in the
world. Yes, even know.
Albert smiles at the sight of whomever has come in. We pan

ALBERT
In hindsight, I really should have
finished that damn bottle.
(SIGHS)
What a waste.
