ROAD TO MALTA – 23 RD TO 25 MAY 2025
TH
BPW’s 18 European Regional Conference and
th
Young Symposium
My executive board and I were so thrilled in November 2021 when BPW
th
(Valletta) Malta was awarded the bid to host the 18 European Regional Conference
and Young Symposium in 2025. Although we still had over 42 months to go, I at
once started brainstorming as to what would come next. The Team has been assem-
bled and we have all rolled up our sleeves to make sure that this upcoming Regional
Conference is one to be remembered for what it will offer the delegates.
Maltese people have traditionally been considered as a very Warm and Hospi-
table Nation, welcoming guests with open arms. So obviously that is where our first
thoughts went! We want to prioritize for all our guests, all that makes Malta unique,
a tiny island found in the middle of the Mediterranean, the warmth of the people to
shine through coupled with the warmth of the weather (the latter is a given!). Acces-
sible by direct flights from over 93 cities around Europe, Malta provides easy access
and makes it an ideal attraction to many visitors.
Now we move the clock 25 months ahead. A plan has been formed, the Ven-
th
nd
ues have been chosen and during a visit by the ECC from the 20 to the 22 Octo-
ber 2023, held at the Conference Venue, the conference program started being
formed and a Vision is in the works! We promise an Exciting Conference!! But today
I want to introduce you to Malta and the fun activities we will be highlighting for our
delegates. We have so much to offer to every visitor who is coming to the Island of
Malta for some R and R. These include Sun, Sea, Archeology, History, Amazing Food
and Festivals. Plus, accommodation does not lag far behind. We are planning many
activities that will showcase the above.
We are also planning a number of extra-curricular events for the delegates to be
able to enjoy the warm weather; the Archeological sites which include two listed on
UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, some of which are older than the Pyramids and ap-
proximately 7,000 years old; the beaches around the Islands; some of the best div-
ing locations offering caves, reefs, wrecks and walls to be explored;
