        AT HOME & ON THE RUN

            - Meal planning is a good way to start making balanced food
            choices.
            - Foods of different colors have different nutrients.
            - Planning ahead and preparing help you make better
            decisions when you’re on the road.

        The best way to avoid hunger when you’re on the road is to pack
        snacks. Snacking is a great way to make sure you are full of energy.
        Some healthy snacks to pack are:
               Apple slices in peanut butter
               Yogurt with berries
               Vegetables and dip
               Cheese with whole wheat crackers
               Nuts or trail mix

           TIPS
          •  Keep healthy snacks such as fruits, vegetables, and pro-
            teins in your kitchen.
          •  Remember to include a variety of food groups in each of
            your meals.
