triggers. Education strategies are intended to educate a key stakeholders so that they can work to
reduce the burden of asthma within their professional setting.
Educate primary care providers about EBPs and national standards to improve asthma
     management

     • Increase access to asthma management education for PCPs and schools.
     • Create a PCP resource/toolkit for optimal asthma care team.
     • Expand team based care within PCPs to increase individual and group asthma education for
        patients and caregivers.

     • Provide training about asthma control and response for patients, family, caregivers and
        teachers.
     • Increase educational opportunities for non-clinical providers about asthma management.
     • Develop outreach criteria including methods for outreach and supporting materials to

        assist with trigger mitigation.
     • Increase asthma trigger education for school staff.
     • Develop education programs to be administered annually for parents and child care staff.
     • Create continuing medical education opportunities for health care providers.
     • Engage asthma experts and educators to provide in-service education in PCP offices.
