Focus Area Three: Strengthen Asthma Coalition Infrastructure
Objectives
The purpose of this focus area is to strengthen infrastructure to increase coordination among
those serving and supporting people with asthma in Indiana. These areas include policy
strategies to enhance coalitions, education of members, and increasing awareness for the general
population regarding the impacts of asthma on Hoosiers.
Increased awareness and improved coordination of resources will provide support to people with
asthma and those who care for them.
The specific focus area measures that have been identified for
strengthening asthma coalition infrastructure are:
• Increase data utilization and evaluation
findings by coalition partners.
• Increase the diversity of membership in
respiratory care organizations.
• Identify and promote funding streams for all
asthma coalitions.
