Inpatient Hospitalization Discharge Rate

Patients are admitted to the hospital as impatiens when their breathing is so poor that it cannot
be stabilized in the emergency department or by their PCP. Over the same 2011 to 2014 time
period when emergency department discharges were increasing, inpatient hospital discharge
rates were declining. Figure 2 shows inpatient discharged rates dropped from 123.7 to 103.2 per
     100,000 from 2011 to 2014.
