THE EGO Ivy Informer
Volume 1, Issue 2 March 30, 2015
Greetings Sorors,
The spring season has officially
Basileus Corner arrived! I hope you are enjoying the
sunny days of spring. Welcome, and I am
Soror Wilma J. Ruffin confident you will enjoy this second issue
of THE EGO Ivy Informer.
For nearly 90 days, we have been a
fully engaged chapter, responsive to the
leadership and guidance of this new
administration; thank you. The old
saying, “time flies when you’re having
fun” may not fit all situations, but I am truly enjoying my work as Basileus of Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter.
Perhaps, because we are an “Awe-Inspiring” chapter of committed and dedicated women. We continue to excel
as we work for excellence in all we do. Our hard work is best described by the quote, “Productivity is never an
accident. It is always the result of commitment to excellence, intelligent planning and focused effort”. --Paul J.
Meyer
I am exceptionally proud of the 57th Debutante Presentation and Ball, while extremely grateful to the
Chairman, Soror Marian Guidry and Co-chairman, Soror Carol Woods for their leadership, guidance and
execution of an exquisite “Phenomenal Evening”. As all plans were made from the beginning to the end, there
were committees whose work was not debuted until the night of the ball; Escorts and Marshalls, Cotillion,
Decorations, Scholarships and Program. Congratulations to these committee chairmen and committee members
for your outstanding leadership and service.
