83rd SOUTH EASTERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE

Sorors from Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi During the first plenary session, Epsilon Gamma
gathered in the River City of Memphis, TN, Omega Chapter Basileus, Soror Wilma J. Ruffin,
March 12 – 15, 2015 for the 83rd South Eastern gave the response. The response was followed by
Regional Conference! Our 25th South Eastern a presentation to our 25th South Eastern Regional
Regional Director, Soror Mary B. Conner, Director, led by our 24th South Eastern Regional
charged sorors with C4 Power to Connect, Director, Soror Adrienne P.K. Washington which
Communicate, Collaborate, and Celebrate by included the Former Regional Directors in
activating “Powerful Pearls Launching New attendance. One by one, they read words of
Dimensions of Service.” encouragement before presenting her with a gavel.
After which, Soror Conner officially called the
83rd South Eastern Regional Conference to order.
Here are a few highlights:
Two Awards for EGO, “Overall Chapter Pre-Launch Achievement Award” and the “Walker
Rigsby Collaboration Award”
Soror Lorraine Lacy has been selected to do a Chapter Technology presentation during the
Leadership Seminar in Chicago, IL.
SERC Community Service Project: 26,862 supplies and backpacks were given away to those in
the community.
April 23rd, AKA Day at the Capitol
84th South Eastern Regional Conference will take place in Mobile, dates TBD
The South Eastern Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is rich in history. It is the home
of one of our Founders, Soror Harriet J. Terry, who is also a Charter Member of Epsilon Gamma Omega.
Currently, the South Eastern Region is comprised of over one-hundred chapters.
