When We Leave

When we leave, We can’t take anything with us,
But we can leave so much behind,
We can leave so much in hearts and minds.

We can leave behind things that people can treasure,
We can leave behind lessons that no value can measure,
We can leave behind memories that will remind of the pleasures.

We can leave a foundation that people can build on,
We can leave an example to help people stay strong,
We can leave a community that people will lean on.

When we go, we can leave traces of where we went,
And leave marks on Hearts and in Lives.
