mission was to the Jews, the Chosen People of God. Only later on would His Gospel be preached to the Gentiles.
But the woman threw herself at His feet and said, "Lord, help me." Jesus answered, "It is not good to take the bread of the children and to cast it to the dogs.'' ''Yea, Lord,'' she said, ''but the dogs may eat of the crumbs that fall from the table of their masters.''
Jesus, answering, said to her, "0 woman, great is thy faith. Be it done to thee as thou wilt.''
Rising up, the woman hastened home, and when she entered the house she found her daughter sleeping peacefully in her bed. The devil had left her.
Our Lord worked all these miracles to prove that He
=ld is God and can do the things that only God can do.

 t vils beings and His heart was touched at the sight of their su erings. Seeing the miracles of our blessed Savior, the people were reminded of the words of Isaias the prophet, ''Say to the faint-hearted, take courage, and fear not. God Himself will come and w l save you. Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a hart and the tongue of the dumb shall be free.''
