longer. And His sweat became as drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.
After a long while, He rose and went back to His apostles. He found them sound asleep. Waking Peter, He said, '' Simon, sleepest thou? Couldst thou not watch one hour with Me? atch ye, and pray that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is will ing, but the esh is weak."
Going away again, He prayed, saying: "My Father, if this chalice may not pass away, but I must drink it, Thy w l be done.''
Coming back to His apostles, again He found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. Leaving them, He went again and prayed the third time, saying the se same words, "My Father, if this chalice may not pass away, but I must drink it, Thy will be done."
