removed the gender barrier in an all-boys school by staging a dance drama
"Kannan and Ratha" having half the class act as girls. When 6J complained
to her that 6K, parallel Tamil class taught by Mr. Nagarajah Master, who
was a football player himself, had organized an inter house football match
for his class, she quickly agreed to have an inter house football tournament
for her class 6J. She refereed the games and showed us, boys, that a female
teacher can referee a football game just as much as a male counterpart.
Although she was our English teacher and had great command of English,
she also impressed us with her knowledge of Tamil and Hindu religion. She
will remain one of my favourite teachers, in my heart. May her soul rest in
peace!

Mrs.Mylvaghanam Teacher is someone, whom I'll never forget as she had
the carrot and stick approach, though she never had to use the latter to get
the students motivated. It was a delight to be present in her classes, just in
order to witness her charm, no matter you had done your homework or not.
In my personal experience, she gave me a fresh start not looking at the past
teachers’ personal opinions as they didn’t have anything positive about me,
so I enjoyed a fresh platform to start again and am ever thankful for that
opportunity provided not only to me but also to others, who were far more
mischievous than the rest of us. Her other abilities were shown both by her
organising the first stage performance for our class and the encouragement
provided in outdoor activities in a professional way. I feel sorry that I
couldn't thank her in person and express my gratitude.
